the day of thanks

(dress/purse: re-run's, loafers: cole haan, coat: vintage)

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite days of the entire year; pies galore, family meals, butter balls & noodles, and bingo games. My family has lots of traditions for this holiday, which make everything that much more special. I enjoy my two extremely over-sized meals during the day, with double in desserts at each gathering. I love having this blog because I can look back on what I did on Thanksgiving last year, and nothing has changed. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving as well, and found many things to be thankful for.
I am currently running on about less than five hours of sleep the day after Thanksgiving. I am not a big fan of the whole "Black Friday rushing about sales", but my sister convinced me to go to H&M in the early hours of the morning. We ended up eating at a diner, then heading to a local thrift store where everything was half price. I have found myself taking out my Christmas decorations to ring in the next holiday, which I am now looking forward to.

first, i want to wish all of my lovely readers, who reside in the united states, a happy day of giving thanks! i hope your day was as full of family, happiness, wonderful food as mine was today. i enjoyed mashed potatoes, vegan sausages, veggies, rolls, and noodles. i also have a whole pumpkin pie, that was made just for me, to take home and eat! i was so full from the meals i had today, i could not even eat dessert.
today is a day for thanks, so i'm listing just a few things i am thankful for in my life at the moment. i am incredibly grateful for the ability to go further my education and live in a country i am able to do so. i am thankful for people who, despite my flaws, still love me and appreciate me for who i am. i am thankful for learning, the ability to learn, my little home, and the ones who make that up.
readers, what are you most thankful for this thanksgiving?
