art of almost

 (writing to penpals.)

(a messy, happy Cinco De Mayo.)

(blazer/socks/boots: thrifted, dress: self-dyed, tights: target, belt: h&m

Oh, where does my time go some Sundays? The whole day has been a rush of catering to sick boyfriends, laundromat, studying, homework, etc. School seems to always be a constant topic of mine, for those of you who are students and have a balance, I envy that (or those that aren't procrastinators). Assignments are always in the back of my mind... there is always something to be done.

My backyard is completely covered in weeds and hardly any grass. If I wasn't renting, I would do something about that, but it honestly is more appealing than average grass. I have been on the search for patio furniture lately, the ultimate score would be a picnic table. I would love to have a spot outside where I could drink my morning coffee and have friends over for grill-outs. I'll be on the lookout until one is mine!
I was also interviewed by The Nautical Owl, read my interview here if you would like!

  13. my backyard is totally weed-ridden as well, but I think it's ok. I am sure my neighbors with their well-manicured lawn hate it, but I think it give my house more charm. LOVE the clippie on your hair!

  14. Our backyard is like a constructions site right now! We're building a new patio and veranda, just as the weather decides to be perfect! Hate that we don't really have a place to sit outside now, but I hope the work will be all done soon :) I love your outfit, by the way :) that green dress plays so well with the mustard socks! x

  19. For me the best part of this post was that you showed a letter from your pen pal. Now, because of that, this post has inspired me to do two things. The first one is to write a letter, the second to buy some sriracha.

    Nice post!

  22. I wish I had a backyard again, I live in a city now. I would definitely want some nice patio furniture too. :)

That always reminds me of a corny joke my dad tells on St. Patrick`s day: `What`s Irish and stays out all night? Patty O`Furniture!`
