When I stepped outside my apartment door today, I felt an overcome of steamy and hot summer air even in the early hours of the morning. Summer isn't gone yet. The Midwest always plays tricks like this. Although that didn't cut my adventures too short today. I just finished a weekend class and needed a little escape. My boyfriend and I gathered up a few things and headed out to Lakeside Nature Center and for the surrounding trails.
Hiking along trails is one of those things I never really appreciated when I was younger. I always wanted a point-end destination; like a body of water or a specific sight. I've really come to enjoy the act of hiking, not the ending result. The heat did catch up to us, so ending the afternoon at the farmer's market and gathering produce for dinner/the rest of the week was fine by me. I'm looking forward to wrapping up some homework and watching the latest episode of Breaking Bad at Screenland for the rest this Sunday.

Oh, you look so breezy and cool in that white dress despite the humidity though.
ReplyDeleteYour photography is so inspiring, you seem to capture the little seconds in your days. What is that farmer's market called that you always seem to be at?
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain! Texas evenings have been cooler and I do not know how much more of its trickery I can take. Ha! I hope it cools down soon!. I love your dress by the way. Super cute dear.

i am the EXACT same way when it comes to hiking. i am not focused on making it to the end. if i do, that is great, but it is more about enjoying things along the way. being outside, and breathing fresh air. there is just nothing like it!
