the skeleton hands

(everything worn here is either vintage or thrifted)

That cold nip in the air is finally here to stay. The kind that makes you put on a giant sweater to go on your balcony in the morning hours, drink warm tea all day, and reminds you of the holiday seasons. Today I was reminded of Halloween. Everything felt exactly like it should this time of the year; seeing jack-o-lanterns every where, costumes hung in shop windows, and pastries decorated in black and orange. I love this haunted time of the year.

In my love for holidays and traditions  I decided to head to a local "haunted" building after doing some estate sale hunting (of which I found a "witch's bible", that is completely fiction but fit my mood today). Sauer Castle is supposedly one of the most haunted places in Kansas City, and being their during the evening one night it seemed to live up close to the tale. Although, viewing it during the day it seemed beautiful, in a creepy way.

  3. A great outfit for fall! (Also- I know it is just what you bought at estate sales, but I think the juxtaposition between the beater and the fur coat is delightfully kooky).

  4. Oh my gosh I just got back from a haunted house excursion with my boyfriend and his parents and I had a blast. The weather tonight was cool and brisk which really set the tone for getting spooked at a haunted house. :D

I am so elated that this weather finally made it down to TX. :D

  5. The haunted house looks great. And just on a side note was the cat from the sale too? Great find if it was. (just kidding) But I do love the coat. Hope you have a great day!
