in the view of pines

(bag: fieldguided, tights: target, loafers: cole haan, everything else is vintage)

I am usually not one for beginning anything Christmas related until after Thanksgiving, but I do love viewing homes decorated for the holidays. I went to the Re-Discover Holiday Home Tour last year (which I posted about here), and this year it was on my list to-do as well. There is something about looking through all of these wonderfully and over-the-top displayed for Christmas homes that always inspires me. My favorite home didn't allow photographs to be taken, but I wish I could have shared photographs of their study and their bathroom... literally breathtaking and so full of history/collectibles. Although it wasn't the Christmas themed decorations that drew me into that house, it was still inspiring none the less.
We stopped for lunch during the tour at the Fig Tree Bakery and Cafe, which I had a spinach omelette and a coconut bar for dessert. Breakfast is defiantly my favorite meal, so I always extend it to lunch and even dinner. At home now, I am currently inspired to do some holiday decorating.. but that must wait until at least the day after Thanksgiving for me.

  9. That dress is gorgeous and I'm already excited for Christmas! I would love to go to that Re-Discover Holiday Home Tour! I'm not sure if there is anything like that around me, but there is this Christmas place in Lancaster that's always decorated in full on Christmas! It was actually on the travel channel one day and I knew I had to go there! It's on my do-to list!
