les feuilles mortes

(sweater: re-run's, loafers: cole haan, everything else is either vintage or thrifted)

The Swap 'n' Shop at the Boulevard Drive-In was something I'd always planned on attending one early weekend morning, but tended to forget it within the moment  This morning my boyfriend woke up in the early hours of the morning, woke me out of bed, we headed off in a very spur of the moment kind of way. We usually sleep in Sundays, so this was unexpected. There were rows and rows of vendors  but most was not of value and I carried out a single watch. You could spend hours there... but only if you're on the hunt for tools or contemporary sneakers.
Instead of our normal brunch routine  we prompted for a grocery store run and omelets instead. I later took a walk, stumbled across to Urban Mining, and bought a quite interesting large animal skull. I starting to notice my taste in collecting changing, but I think I'm just seeing more of my "Midwestern roots" show. I'm currently ending my evening with Shatto's Caramel Sea Salt ice cream, re-organizing my living room, and Johnny Flynn blasting through my speakers. Another well spent Sunday.

  2. Thanks! I'm not sure yet, I kinda like displaying them on a table in the place I just sat it for now. The more we collect I will have to start hanging them!

  3. Sounds like a perfect fall morning - I know what you mean about not finding things though. Reminds me of the rose bowl flea market in LA... one of the hugest flea markets ever, where you could undoubtedly spend an entire day, but I didn't buy a single thing. I hope your fall is going well!
