As my Sunday ends today I can definitely tell I have newly begun my winter break from college. The days seem longer (shorter at the same time though), a large amount of worry lifted off my back, ordering books for next semester's courses, days filled with pour-overs and teacups... the only thing missing out of this scene is a snowstorm that leaves me stranded at my apartment for days, because these are the times it can happen without the worry of missing a lecture. Yes, I am probably the only person who is a fan of those weather conditions. It feels like winter break is missing something without it though.
Today I had a pre-Christmas gathering with some family, ate no-bake and pecan pie cookies, and watched my Granny play games with a tablet she got as a gift (yes, it was quite funny and cute watching her with technology). My boyfriend and I finally got our record player to work correctly for the first time in a few months, so now I am listening to an Empire Empire record while drinking some sweet red wine. Sundays so seem very sweet with things like this.
I'm a huge fan of snow storms. It means no class, no work, and I can relax in an oversized armchair with hot cocoa and a book without worry.

I like snow storms as well. they seem to peaceful! no cars on the road makes for a nice quiet day, too.
ReplyDeleteyou look wonderful in that dress, the color suits you well.
& now I'm laughing at the thought of my own grandma with a tablet!
What a beautiful, warm, Sunday you had. I spent mine working, working out, eating Christmas baking, and watching a movie with my husband. I'm pretty sick of this snow already, so I'll make sure to send some your way. :-)))

We just had a snowstorm last week! We got about 2-3 inches of ice with about 6 inches of snow on top. It was insane and it left me stranded at home for a few days. The first two were lovely. I'm finishing up my finals this week and I cannot wait to be home so that I too can experience the sensation of stress lifting from my back! These pictures are wonderful and I'm thrilled that you got your record player to work. Wishing you the very best!
ReplyDeleteArr I wish I had a Sunday like yours but as my last day at work is cgritmas eve the last few weeks are full of chores.
ReplyDeleteWhoop about getting your record player working, I'm relaxing a little on lunch thinking about it.
Love the dress

Ah, all winter Sundays should be so warm and mellow. I'm waiting for a snow storm (or several) to complete my winter as well! We had one two weeks ago that I'm hoping was a sign for the months to come. These photos are so sweet, and you are so adorable!
