rainy days and mondays

the end of the labor day weekend is here! (not that i am excited about that). woke up early to finish up the last of my homework this morning and edited some pictures i took of the storms that happened all weekend. it was an extremely gloomy labor day weekend, and then followed by the heat of summer. the only good thing about this rain was the fact that i got to wear my bright blue rain coat that i got years ago at goodwill from a friend (she worked there and would always find me the best clothing that came in!). with the weekend being so rainy, i decided to do a lot of cheap, easy, and quick diy's for my home. i made a chalkboard out of a cork-board that i bought (you can see the little "cat" my boyfriend drew for me haha) and hung it right when you walk in the door. i also found a few sticks, painted them, and placed it an old coffee tin with yellow paper around it. i printed off some photos and i had no idea what i wanted to do with them, so i hung them on yard in the living room (and ran out of clothes pins! ah!) and i still do not know what to do with all my postcards.. so they are just hanging on  my wall for now. any suggestions would be lovely! i painted a new watercolor for my bedroom one night too. finished up some more tags for the living room wall... and that's about it!
now, off to school/do school things. my best friend is coming to town this weekend for first friday's, so i have something to look forward to that will help this school week go by faster! i have also been looking at school's  that are close, but would mean moving, for next semester or the fall. stressful, but exciting to think about!
