call any vegetable

sundays are the laziest and most causal day of the week, for me. i made a post earlier in my blog, here, about my usual sunday routine. it honestly has stayed about the same! my boyfriend and i sleep in (for we do not do that the rest of the week!) and take our time getting up and ready for the day. i always dress extremely causal and comfy for these days. the farmer's market, in the river market district in kansas city, is our first stop for the day. they also have a huge area that's more like a "flea market". for vendors to sell antiques and other items. we buy our fresh fruits, vegetables  and other items are always bought here. it is so much fresher and cheaper than going to a local grocery store for these foods. the most we ever spend here on produce is $10, for all the items we need for the week! today we picked up lots of vegetables, freshly baked pita bread, some bananas, and tofu.
after we finish venturing around the farmer's market, we always come home to unpack our produce we bought and cook a wonderful late lunch (which i also featured what we made, here,  one sunday). today, we made a veggie tofu scramble (with olives, onions, and garlic added), diced fried potatoes, and croissant rolls. i later go to work for a few hours, and come home to lightly snack after a giant, home-made lunch and work on any homework i have for my classes tomorrow. i bought a new kind of tea a few days ago, chai spice, and it is my new favorite. time to finish up a few papers and boil more water in my kettle for a re-fill on tea!
readers, what do you sundays look like?

  5. awww, a farmer market! :-) we have one too, really close to our home, and once a month they also get second hand clothes and furniture pieces! it's excellent! yet your market looks so sunny and warm - our it's cold because of the wind and the sea next to it. I get such a warm feeling from your sunday pictures! :-)

  13. what a cosy and cool post that is! I enjoyed the description of your Sunday and obviously all the photos since I really like markets like those but in Estonia it's expensive to buy from those. that's too bad of course. gosh and I miss the sunshine too.
anyway, thank you very much for visiting my blog and if you're interested then we can follow each other to stay in touch :)
