holiday heart

(someone's little home in the park)

(lots of messes from an afternoon of crafting)

although today did not feel like winter, i suddenly felt the urge to decorate my loft for christmas. i went to a dollar store to pick up some items and found many decorations i had stored away from last christmas season. since my cats are still pretty young, my boyfriend and i decided a christmas tree would be a messy idea (and the cats still play with the little one i have on my bookshelf!). so, instead of a christmas tree, i decided to wrap the wood pole in the middle of the living room and hang our stockings on it. hopefully next year our cats will have calmed down and we can have a real tree! i have never had cats before, so i have no idea if/when they will stop playing with everything! (but, it's so cute when they do. i just want to decorate more though!) i wrote our names on stockings with glitter and plan to add a little more decorations to them soon. it makes me excited to make things for our "little family", this makes the holiday season so fun.
i might have started decorating for christmas too soon, but i needed a break from my school work to focus on something else more fun. the final weeks of school are coming up, which makes me a busy student. my thanksgiving break starts next week, which is much needed!
