wild is the wind

rainy and cloudy days, please go away! kansas city was under dark clouds and windy, chilly breezes today. i did not realize how cold it was until i walked outside to my car for my classes this morning, i was running late and did not have time to run back in to find a winter coat! when the wind was dramatically blowing, the weather was fine for just a layered sweater. i suppose i should start being prepared to wear my winter coats, i just feel as if it is too early yet!
after my classes were finished for the day, i went downtown to run a few errands. i adventured to another of my favorite views, very close to case park, with the lewis and clark memorial. this area over looks the river, industrial district, and the river market. it's such a pretty spot for an evening view too. the whole ground was covered in colorful leaves, it was picture perfect for the fall season. i would love to go back here and take a photo shoot of someone and grab some leaves for pressing (for wall decor). this inspired me to update my chalkboard for the entrance of my home. although it seems my chalk drawing skills are not up to drawing pumpkins, so i settled with a few leaves and some writing! my cats were extremely interested in stepping on the chalkboard/chalk, so i had to make the drawing process rather fast! maybe i'll do something more creative for a christmas themed drawing!

  7. I love that you paired your mint dress with some mustard colored socks. Such an awesome color combination! I can't believe it's already time for winter coats either. I'm so in denial about the weather. :P
