(thrifted a spring coat today, along with a strawberry ring, green scarf, and pink pendant necklace.)
(sweater: kohls, blazer: from clothing swap, tights: target, pin: kiddo tv, blouse/skirt/loafers: thrifted.)
I feel as if the places you have lived your whole life around, still have the most to offer you. One can say they have done "it all" in their area of growing up, but there are always still undiscovered locations of interest. For my own example, this little house in Unity Village right outside of my little suburb hometown. Actually, I believe it is a storage shed of some sort, but I just was in love with the whimsical colors and prairie feel. Future home: please be exactly like this (maybe a tad bigger).
I had some "little sister, big sister" thrifting time today in the afternoon. We feel as though we both so similar when it comes to thrift store hunting, because we both look at everything and go often. I love taking trips to the suburbs because that is where all of the thrift stores with large stocks and actual vintage pieces are. They also have better sales, I feel, which makes me even more excited to go to them.
Awww you totally match that house! I'd love to have a place like that too :) And your outfit is awesome, love the jacket!!

ReplyDeleteI love your outfit, the shoes and blouse are especially fab! xo
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that outfit, I would wear the exact same thing!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you and your sister had a precious little date :)
xo
i always go to op shops in the suburbs over the ones in the city - the city ones have so many more visitors who buy all the good things, the suburbs are definitely the way to go!
ReplyDeleteI must visit this place stat!

My, but that rusty colored door paired perfectly with your outfit! I love everything about this-where to begin? The colors are some of my favorites for sure. I really love that you wore a cardigan over a blazer! I would have never thought to do that and it looks so cozy and great. Thrifting sounds so fun! I wish I had my sisters with me more often :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, those purple and orange-y flowers are a totally inspiring color palette- loverly :)
One thing blogging has definitely done for me (and The Boy, who is my photographer) is getting us out and about in our own areas more. There is more appreciation and more discovery indeed!
ReplyDeleteAs to your outfit- LOVE it. There is just something about an outfit with a blazer. The color is fun and unique and the pin totally works with it. Great.
