Although I am no "fashion photographer", I felt a kind of duty to photograph this event while attending. The West 18th Street Fashion Show has been a rather large fashion gathering in Kansas City for thirteen years and running. This event showcases local designers and jewelry craftsmen of all distinct senses of style, but all under one theme. "Glided Summer" was this year's underlining era, focusing on the glided age and the later half of the 19th century.
The showcase is an event that gathers locals, and some travelers, of all kinds to experience the growing talent in this city. It is wonderful, personally, to be surrounded by such a vast art scene collection everyday. After viewing this fashion show, it has inspired me to create my own designers again, after falling short of doing so for awhile now.
