giants of steam

(having a late dinner at Pigwich food truck, a falafal sandwich with homemade chips.)

(everything worn here is either thrifted or vintage)

I have been changing my Sundays up quite a bit lately from my usual traditions. I started a new childcare position that requires me to work early mornings, into the early afternoon, each Sunday. This has pushed my farmer's market and river market wanderings to a stopping point, but this day is always meant to be enjoyed and consumed with new events... which leads me to my Sunday of many new discoveries.
Everyone who is a reader of my blog knows how much I love the thrill of a good exploring day in my hometown. I mean, I can't believe how many new things I get to experience and how many places I haven't been somewhere I have lived most of my life. I explored the east bottoms today and fell in love with the fast industrial areas and wildflowers galore. I also grabbed my favorite snow-cone from a place near my apartment and received some fresh veggies. I could go on and on, but I hope everyone else enjoyed and explored this day.

  1. What a charming outfit! Love your dress and that head scarf. <3 I wish we also have an abundance of food trucks here. It just looks fun buying food from there.

  7. Love your dress! And this sounds like a nice way to spend a Sunday.

p.s. the colorful row houses in my London post are located in Notting Hill. If you ever find yourself in London, I would recommend checking out that neighborhood :)

  15. These photos are way beyond gorgeous. You captured them at such a beautiful time of day. Isn't it fun playing tourist in your hometown? Just when I think I've seen every corner of my city, I take a new pathway or climb a flight of stairs and find myself in some completely new area to explore :)
