(everything worn here is either vintage or thrifted.) 

   Nothing stopped me yesterday from deciding to route on an impromptu hiking adventure a little past the Missouri state line. I was feeling spontaneous and braved the unwanted summer sun to explore around the Missouri River front and a few trails. Naturally, I put on a pair of old boots and packed my camera and we were off (and of course, a brightly colored sun hat). 

   I talked a lot with my best friend about how we both strive to be the people who can simply "get up and go" anywhere. Not caring about having our makeup completely flawless, nor knowing exactly where we are headed. I have been inhabited with school days of schedules that i forgot our past carefree summers together of non-stop adventuring, camping trips, and trail wandering.  Although we both have the busiest of lives now, I'm glad we take days like yesterday to keep that wanderlust spirit alive... even if we just travel to the next state over.
