(searching through an estate sale)
There is hint of chill in the air that I love so dearly, all around Kansas City. I walked to meet a friend for coffee this morning wrapped in a sweater... it was one of those mornings where I didn't feel like bringing my phone or my camera to document anything, just to simply be and talk. We ended later up trying to find a museum we read about in Swope Park, got lost on back roads, and explored bits of Loose Park and the rose garden there instead.
I am a huge fan of estate sales, so naturally I managed to find one within walking distance I had to venture to today. The house was dark, so compressed with antiques and "stuff" it was hard to keep my balance. I am rather glad I braved my way through the entire three-story house, because I picked up a vintage camera and some clothing for one dollar. I an so excited to find some film and shoot with this new find.
Love this post! especially the picture with the big tree trunk

estate sales sounds like fun :D cute socks ;)
ReplyDeleteI love how you paired this dress with the socks! And I am a huge believer in estate sales- you can't beat them- beautiful things ( though it can be sort of sad) and sometimes the people running them can be a little stingy on the prices. But otherwise they are amazing! Alex

Wow that dress is so pretty! And that garden is even more beautiful. Sometimes I think it is fun just to *be* in the moment rather than document it :).

Hey Lindsey! You commented on my blog a while ago giving me the wonderful opportunity to find yours, and I absolutely love it! Your layout is so spot on and this post is just beautiful, love how you've paired those red socks with the dress and made it work so well! Love how the pictures have a sort of retroey feel to them too. Following on GFC and Bloglovin, and I'll definitely be checking back!
