mini trip: omaha, nebraska part 1

One of the best things in life is being given opportunities to explore a new place set foot in. Now, I have yet another place in the United States crossed off my list; Omaha, Nebraska. From Kansas City, this destination is really one of the best getaways foe a weekend in the Fall. One of my favorite parts for a trip is always the packing; folding all of my outfits planned for the days, pulling books off my shelf for the drive, and using new luggage I couldn't wait to carry off somewhere. After a short car ride and passing through Iowa, Omaha was in clear view for the next few days.

The first two days were primarily spent in a neighborhood called Old Market, which was filled with tall vines on every building and too many antique shops to count how many I ventured into. I found the neatest little rare and used bookstore, which I purchased some Bukowski and Cummings for future reading. I also feel in love with a local ice cream parlor, which served up some vegan ice cream I could eat nightly. If I ever lived in Omaha one day, that would be my area of choice.

Stay tuned for part 2 of my weekend trip in photographs.

  3. I really like your all-red outfit! Very cute! Omaha seems interesting! I've actually never really explored the midwest. I guess I'm adding that to my "places I need to visit" list.
