mini trip: omaha, nebraska part 2

The last days of my little trip to Omaha, Nebraska were tightly filled with places to be seen and explored. Finding Joslyn Art Museum close to our hotel, was a delight and a must-see on the trip. Viewing Monet and Bouguereau, walking through the Sculpture Garden, and peering up at the giant blown glass sculpture was quite an experience. The same day I found Saint Cecilia's Cathedral, which it is commonly known for the Spanish Renaissance architecture and being one of the largest cathedrals in the United States. The inside was breath-taking.
My favorite local spot for coffee was Aroma Coffee House, which was joint with Bliss Bakery. Together, these two places combined to create the perfect morning location for a macchiato and a pumpkin cake bar. After stopping here on my last morning in Omaha, we visited the Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium  Although not staying for an extend amount of time, exploring the butterfly house and the dessert dome were my favorite spots in the zoo. Oh, and of course the large amounts of jellyfish in the aquarium section.
Until next time, Omaha.

  5. That church is so beautiful, you are right about the inside being breathtaking. Small trips are the best kinds because you can tour the town, but still have things left to do when you go there again some day. Your pictures inspire so much.
