day trip: part 1 warrensburg/cave hollow

 

   day trips are such a wonderful thing to have happen. i took a last second trip down to warrensburg, to visit my best friend, today after my internship at my elementary school. i am always so excited to escape the daily routine of my city-life and head to the quiet of a small town. although i miss my best friend living extremely close to me, i love having her show me new places and being able to spend the whole day in a different part of missouri. the drive there was so peaceful and i was all smiles because the country-side was so beautiful and the leaves were so colorful. i kept seeing model log cabins and antique stores on the side of the highway, and staring in awe of the cuteness and suddenness of them. i am starting to believe that i am a country girl at heart. 
   we stopped at cave hollow park for part of our day. i was so overwhelmed by all of the lovely colors of the leaves and the huge wilderness that surrounded us. she showed me a giant cave in the back of the park, but it was so muddy there was no place to relax or sit. there were lots of children playing and climbing on all of the rocks, i loved that this was used as a natural nature man play ground. the walk throughout the park was perfect and i couldn't love the fall season more.
   i will update with the rest of our day tomorrow, alexis took so many pictures (she was excited to be photographing with my new camera) and they are all amazing.
