you belong to the city

   my days have been flying by so quickly it seems, lately. i feel as though i just updated with a post about last sunday! well, this sunday was completely different than the last, kansas city felt like winter today (as you can see, i brought out another one of my winter coats). the morning was very gloomy and full of rain storms, so the light from my windows never woke up and i ended up sleeping in later than i have in such a long time. i lounged around the rest of the mid-morning; drinking cups of coffee, readings for school, and deciding how i wanted a new layout for my blog to look. 

   my boyfriend and i decided to get a late brunch at a diner semi-close to our loft. after walking all the way there in the almost freezing weather, we found out it was closed for good! almost nothing is open in our downtown area, so we decided the best choice was denny's (which was the only place open close by!). i ended up with one of the only meals i could eat there, a veggie burger with french fries, and we looked at the view of some of downtown through our booth's window. 

   i have been scanning old pictures and drawings all afternoon with my new printer. the vintage book mark is from a library, which was found in my great-grandmother's bible. the vintage photograph was part of a business card that i decided to tape to a piece of paper, now i hang it from a clipboard in my living room. i had also scanned many of my postcards i have received and old photographs from a wedding album i found at the "give and get" in unity village. i feel as though this will be consuming a lot of my free time!
