If there is anyone who ever said moving was easy, they were completely wrong! I have been loving the space here (over 1,200 square feet.. compared to the 650 square feet of my old loft!) and to be living in a house that is almost 100 years old. Of course there are down sides to this vintage household; leaks through the windows, slanted rooms, and lots of spider webs/other yucky things. But, we are in the process of deep cleaning everything, so in no time it will be more homey.
We just got our new fridge delivered last night, which means we can fully start setting up the kitchen (and have food here, yay!). We have a few rooms unpacked, but there is much work to be done. I am hoping, by the end of the week, to have most of it unpacked so I can have my parents over for dinner. Also, be on the lookout for a first look post, of my new home. I am excited to share my decorating ideas and the parts of my home that are complete!
hooray...progress!!! can't wait to see more :)

ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean about moving - you know I have moved 4 times in 2 years? it was exhausting!
old houses are truly fascinating, I don't care about the little problems that you get - my building is from 1910 and I love it! I don't think you could find the same atmosphere in a modern building at all!
also, it's incredible how much space you get there in North America! I was talking to a Canadian friend of mine and she told me about the size of their apartments! the size of your old loft sounds pretty outstanding to me already! you'll love the new house - I cannot imagine how much space you'll actually have there! :-)

Wow, there was lots of inspiration to be found in this post! I never thought hanging bows and ribbon on the wall could look so darling! Plus, you're pretty much the cutest ever in your plaid skirt. Good luck settling it! Cleaning and such is always the worst part of the ordeal.
