That cool, end of summer air is surrounding us. I was ecstatic to be able to bring out one of my favorite, thicker fabric skirts today... I was getting rather tried of summer wear (well, a few weeks after the season started I was!). The air conditioning in my apartment went out today, and the outdoors were significantly cooler than inside, so naturally I spent the times in between classes out and about. It gave me an excuse to do things besides having a constant mine on school.
After running to a few places and stopping by the Liberty Memorial, which is one of the prettiest views in the city, I made a wonderful discovery. I had never even heard of thrift store chains having an "outlet" store, but I suppose there is an outlet store for everything. 2nd Chance Thrift is all items for 99 cents that I have left over from other thrift stores, and I can say full-heartedly it is my new favorite. I guess it kind of fits me though; I like the things that are from thrift stores that no one buys from thrift stores... can I call it second-hand-second-hand?! Haha.

An outlet for a thrift store is kind of an amazing idea. I would go to that!
ReplyDeleteThat museum looks freaking incredible! You're so lucky to be able to just roam around between classes in such an awesome city! All your posts make me want to visit! And I wish it would cool down here in Southern California. I'm so tired of this heat!

What a stunning monument! Wow! And a cute combo of yellow and blue :)
ReplyDeleteIt seems funny that there is an outlet for thrift stores, but I bet thrift stores can get a lot of new items often they have to make room for. In a strange way it makes sense....
PS I sent you an email this past week, and since I hadn't heard from you thought I'd check and see if you ever received it. Thanks for letting me know :)
Thanks for the comment and visit. Just followed you :) Love the color of that skirt. Awesome thrift store find that's so cool I never heard of resale shops for resale items.
