(the rest of this collection of photographs is found on my photography website.)
Happy Halloween everyone! This is one of my favorite days of the year, so full of mysterious things and always a slight chill in the breeze that makes you weary of your surroundings. The day before this I explored the Hotel Savoy and photographed a little shoot based around the Witch's Bible that I found estate saleing awhile ago. The Hotel Savoy is said to be haunted by a ghost of a women who died in room 505, and the Victorian/dim lighted atmosphere makes this chilly story even more.. chilly.
Although I have quite a love for anything "romantically chilling" (as I call it), my Halloween costume this year is the opposite category I can't wait to share those photographs within the next couple of days with you, and have grand Halloween!
'Tis now the very witching time of night,
When churchyards yawn and hell itself breathes out
Contagion to this world.
~William Shakespeare

ReplyDeletethese photos are, just as you said, romantically chilling. they remind me of a horror film from the early 90's...in a good way :) hope you had a great halloween!
ReplyDeleteThis photoshoot is positively dreamy! And I love the story behind the location. My favorite shot is the one of you caught behind the lace curtain. Very evocative.
