Do you ever have those days where the sky is just the perfect shade of bright blue? Where all you want to do is be outside in it's presence walk around a small neighborhood in your hometown, and try to find all the bakeries that keep open doors on Sundays... yes, it was one of those days yesterday. Although it was another Sunday with the dreaded voice mail of the apple orchard "the fields are too muddy for picking today", my boyfriend and I tried to make up some last minute fall afternoon plans. Whenever this happens, we normally just end up roaming some neighborhood, grabbing coffee, making a delicious lunch (well, he cooks), and browsing through a flea market of some kind. Which, all of those things, are perfectly fine by me.
I'm currently on my couch with copious amounts of papers and school books surrounding me, listening to Peggy Lee, and drinking sun tea. Frantically trying to finish up my homework before driving out to Lawrence Kansas to see a band I've enjoyed since high school. After the constant stress of college life, I'm glad Peggy can tell me "It's a Good Day" with her song. Oh, and I have a handful of fortune cookies my boyfriend brought me... which I am overall excited about opening to find my many fortunes.
